Brianne & David Married!!!

As I sit here uploading the photos for Brianne and David's wedding, I am belting "As Long As You Love Me" by the Backstreet Boys... sorry neighbours.  I'm just filled with happiness and joy, and not because Backstreet Boys is ringing in my ears, but because I got to be with the most compassionate, beautiful, thoughtful, caring, funny, hard working, creative woman I know on her wedding day.

How can I start explaining this day? LOVE! This day was filled to the brim with love, and not just between Brianne and Dempsey, but between the group of girls that have been lucky enough to be a part of Bri's journey and her, a part of theirs. LOVE from all the family that travelled from around the world whether on an airplane or through the internet with the kindest words. LOVE from the surprises, the hard work, and the many offers to bring bits and pieces, big and small, to help with the wedding. All in all, a day that would definitely have you crying from happiness at some point.

A memorable moment was watching Bri’s niece and nephew walk down the aisle as Maid of Honor and Best Man, possibly the youngest and arguably the cutest ones in history. After a delicious BBQ of homemade eats, it all ended perfectly with after dinner sunset portraits. When Bri and I had previously talked about her wedding day, she mentioned she wanted some film images taken, so for the sunset portraits, I shot solely on our hasselblad while Derrick shot on my camera in between doing what he does best: making everyone around him laugh.

Everything looked so beautiful.  The wedding took place on the family acreage, a gorgeous piece of land that Norm & Sarah filled with amazing gardens, flowers, and fire pits, with their two horses looking on from a distance.  A huge shout out to Katie & Laura, Brianne's best friends since Jr. High who did all the decorating and design, as well as NEAT Rentals who supplied all the mid-century modern decor. Candice, Melissa, and Sara sang beautifully during the ceremony and helped with so much in the days leading up to the wedding.  And last but not least, the talented Emily Banek from Woodland Photography Co., who once again got to share all the beautiful moments between Bri & Dempsey before they both saw one another and all the portraits after.

So many people put so much work into this day, it truly was a day to remember.  As a tribute to Bri and Dempsey, I would like you to listen to "Drowning" by Backstreet Boys while viewing their images, I know I will be :).
